TIP OF THE MONTH

Yoga emphasizes full, complete exhalation. This is important to eliminate all stale air and to increase capacity for inhalation of more fresh air.

You should also inhale slowly filling the belly and then the chest, then pause briefly before exhaling completely.

 

Total body wellness combines spiritual, physical and emotional well-being.
Yoga benefits you in all three areas. Spiritually, yoga is an opportunity
for meditation and to be in touch with your spirit and body. Physically,
yoga presents many healthy challenges to your body - strength and flexibiilty
are dramatically improved. It is proven that with spiritual and physcial
health comes emotional well-being.

The Yoga House is proud to offer classes for people at all levels of yoga
ability. We are located in downtown Akron across the street from the Akron
Museum.

Kundalini Yoga, and Love Your Back are great for beginning and continuing students. For all other classes, prior knowledge of yoga postures is recommended.

All classes are walk-in unless indicated and are $25.00. Students and seniors are $15.00. If you attend more than once a week - discount cards may be purchased. CLASS CARDS DO NOT APPLY TO PRE-REGISTERED CLASSES. Once a pre-registered class is up and running and space is avaliable, walk-ins
will be accepted for $25.00 per class.

Yoga is best practiced 1-1/2 hours after eating a small meal and 3 - 4 hours after eating a large meal. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Yoga mats and blankets are available for use.
